you would need to do is where I have the 45 degree angle
off the "L" just go straight instead, add or subtract
what length you desire.
Do
you have other designs ?
Yes, please visit the designs
page.
Can
I install a small refridgerator and a sink to the BBQ Island
?
A
sink can fit fine where the side burners located. A refrigerator
will fit quite well just left of the sink.
How
do I install the gas line to the BBQ grill ?
In
order to run a gas line to the BBQ island, you will have
to either call the gas company in your area to see if whether
you can run the gas line from your house to the bbq island.
Some housing development do not allow and some have restrictions.
It will depend on your association or the gas company can
give suggestions on what is the proper way to install a
gas line from your house to the bbq island.
The
easiest was is to install a propane gas with a gas line
to the bbq grill itself. The plans that you purchase has
an inventory list. In the inventory list it is listed to
purchase a propane regulator and gas line . The gas line
is hooked up to the BBQ grill and to the the regulator.
The regulator is then hooked up to the propane gas.
Usually
, when you purchase your grill , sometimes it comes with
the regulator and the gas line. Ask the grill dealers for
more info. If not the regulator and line should cost no
more than $50.00 for a good one.
You
can purchase the regulator and the gas line at any BBQ store
near you. There are two type of regulators, one for the propane
and the other is for natural gas. Make sure you get the right
one for your installation.
See
gas
line instructions for more details.
What
if I want to use a different Grill size ?
The
grill I used is 3 burner. You can use any grill, the dimensions
can be altered to accommodate any grill just take the dimensions
from the specs and substitute them where the dimensions
are. The key is to provide 1/4" to 1/2" clearance
on the sides and a platform to set it.
Why
use Hardie Backer Board instead of plywood ?
Using
Hardie Backer Board will stand all weather conditions. Plywood
is not strong enough. The stucco will hold better to the
Hardie Backer Board than to Plywood.
Do
I have to use stucco on the outside of the BBQ Island ?
No,
you can use pre-cast stone, cobble stone, bricks, slates,
almost any other products. See the Patio Heater Lamp Table
plan for instruction how to put on the pre-cast stone.
Can
I use some other kind of tile for the BBQ Island countertop
?
Yes,
I recommend using the Natural Stone Slate. It will last
longer and cleaning will easier.
How
are the access doors attached ?
The
doors are attached directly to the framed door openings
to the studs with Hardie Backer Board Screws.
Can
the autocad plans be sent over the Web ?
Yes, the AutoCAD plans are able to view over the web and
they can be printed out as well. The AutoCAD plans are set
to "B" size (11 X 17"). The AutoCAD plans
are in .jpg format.
How
are the vents attached ?
The
vents are attached with screws at the bottom of the top
frame and at the top of the bottom frame giving you both
a high and low location.
What
is the estimated time to complete the Built In BBQ Island project
?
It
should take about 4 days to build one. No matter on your
handy skills are, the plans are so easy to follow and there
are pictures to guide you through out the projects.
How
long does it take to have the pre-fabricated BBQ Island ?
It
should take about 2 - 3 weeks to build and have it shipped out.
Does
the grill and the access door come with the pre-fabricated BBQ
Island ?
No,
you will need to supply us with the BBQ grill and access door
model number and specifications. We will build the pre-fabricated
island according to your specifications.
Can
you build a fridge access or a sink to the pre-fabricated BBQ
Island ?
Yes,
we can build the prefabricated Island to your desire. There
will be an extra charge. Call or email for pricing.
Can
you build pre-fabricated BBQ Island without the Hardie Backer
Board, just the frame itself ?
Yes,
we can offer that , it will be cheaper for you and shipping
cost will be cheaper.
Does
your pre-fabricated BBQ Island frame rust in time ?
No,
we use Metal and Steel studs that are galvanized.
Does
I have to buy a spot welder if I plan to build the BBQ Island
myself ?
No,
we recommend using pop rivets instead. If you have a spot welder,
it will work just as well with pop rivets. It is up to you.
Our BBQ Islands are built using pop rivets. Pop rivets are stronger
and last longer than a spot weld.
