What forms of payment can I make ?

We prefer a check or cashiers check.

What if my check bounces ?

There will be a $30.00 charge for checks that are no good, changes will be made by your bank branch, the deduction will be taken out from your account.

Do I need to have AutoCAD software to see the plans ?

No, we have done all the work for you. The AutoCAD that comes with the plans are viewable from any computer because the drawings have been converted to .jpg files.

Can I print the Instructions , Material List, and the AutoCAD drawings ?

Yes, you will be able to print all Instructions, Material lists, and AutoCAD drawings.

Can I print the Instructions , Material List, and the AutoCAD drawings on Windows, MAC, and Linux PC's?

Yes, will be able to view all files.

To read the instructions, please make sure you have Adobe Reader and WinZip programs.

Can I make an "L" Shape BBQ Island ?

All you would need to do is where I have the 45 degree angle off the "L" just go straight instead, add or subtract what length you desire.

Can I install a small refridgerator and a sink to the BBQ Island ?

A sink can fit fine where the side burners located. A refrigerator will fit quite well just left of the sink.

How do I install the gas line to the BBQ grill ?

In order to run a gas line to the BBQ island, you will have to either call the gas company in your area to see if whether you can run the gas line from your house to the bbq island. Some housing development do not allow and some have restrictions. It will depend on your association or the gas company can give suggestions on what is the proper way to install a gas line from your house to the bbq island.

The easiest was is to install a propane gas with a gas line to the bbq grill itself. The plans that you purchase has an inventory list. In the inventory list it is listed to purchase a propane regulator and gas line . The gas line is hooked up to the BBQ grill and to the the regulator. The regulator is then hooked up to the propane gas.

Usually , when you purchase your grill , sometimes it comes with the regulator and the gas line. Ask the grill dealers for more info. If not the regulator and line should cost no more than $50.00 for a good one.

You can purchase the regulator and the gas line at any BBQ store near you. There are two type of regulators, one for the propane and the other is for natural gas. Make sure you get the right one for your installation.

What if I want to use a different Grill size ?

The grill I used is 3 burner. You can use any grill, the dimensions can be altered to accommodate any grill just take the dimensions from the specs and substitute them where the dimensions are. The key is to provide 1/4" to 1/2" clearance on the sides and a platform to set it.

Why use Hardie Backer Board instead of plywood ?

Using Hardie Backer Board will stand all weather conditions. Plywood is not strong enough. The stucco will hold better to the Hardie Backer Board than to Plywood.

Do I have to use stucco on the outside of the BBQ Island ?

No, you can use pre-cast stone, cobble stone, bricks, slates, almost any other products. See the Patio Heater Lamp Table plan for instruction how to put on the pre-cast stone.

Can I use some other kind of tile for the BBQ Island countertop ?

Yes, I recommend using the Natural Stone Slate. It will last longer and cleaning will easier.

How are the access doors attached ?

The doors are attached directly to the framed door openings to the studs with Hardie Backer Board Screws.

Can the autocad plans be sent over the Web ?

Yes, the AutoCAD plans are able to view over the web and they can be printed out as well. The AutoCAD plans are set to "B" size (11 X 17"). The AutoCAD plans are in .jpg format.

How are the vents attached ?

The vents are attached with screws at the bottom of the top frame and at the top of the bottom frame giving you both a high and low location.

What is the estimated time to complete the Built In BBQ Island project ?

It should take about 4 days to build one. No matter on your handy skills are, the plans are so easy to follow and there are pictures to guide you through out the projects.

How long does it take to have the pre-fabricated BBQ Island ?

It should take about 2 - 3 weeks to build and have it shipped out.

Does the grill and the access door come with the pre-fabricated BBQ Island ?

No, you will need to supply us with the BBQ grill and access door model number and specifications. We will build the pre-fabricated island according to your specifications.

Can you build a fridge access or a sink to the pre-fabricated BBQ Island ?

Yes, we can build the prefabricated Island to your desire. There will be an extra charge. Call or email for pricing.

Can you build pre-fabricated BBQ Island without the Hardie Backer Board, just the frame itself ?

Yes, we can offer that , it will be cheaper for you and shipping cost will be cheaper.

Does your pre-fabricated BBQ Island frame rust in time ?

No, we use Metal and Steel studs that are galvanized.

Does I have to buy a spot welder if I plan to build the BBQ Island myself ?

No, we recommend using pop rivets instead. If you have a spot welder, it will work just as well with pop rivets. It is up to you. Our BBQ Islands are built using pop rivets. Pop rivets are stronger and last longer than a spot weld.
